How to Set Up Automatic Restarts for Your HumanitZ Server
Scheduling automatic restarts keeps your HumanitZ server stable and ensures players always join a freshly loaded instance. You can set restarts to run daily or on a custom interval using the Scheduled Tasks feature in the Game Control Panel.
Before you start: Make sure you can log in to the Game Control Panel and navigate to your HumanitZ server.
Create a scheduled restart
- Log in to the Game Control Panel and navigate to your server.
- Click the
Scheduled Tasksicon on the left-hand side. - Click New at the top of the section and choose Scheduled Start/Stop/Restart, then click New directly below that section.
- Give the task a name that lets you identify it quickly and make sure the Enabled box is checked.
- For the type, choose Daily if you want the server to restart at the same time each day.
- Set the start date and time. This is the time the task runs every day. To align the schedule with your local time zone, see the time zone guide in the control panel.
- To repeat the restart every few hours (for example, every 6 hours), expand Advance Options, check Repeat Task, and configure the interval.
- Click Save.
The server will now restart automatically according to your schedule. You can return to Scheduled Tasks at any time to edit or disable the task.
Troubleshooting
- If the task is not firing, confirm the Enabled box is checked and that the start time has not already passed for today.
- For repeated restarts that seem off by an hour, verify your panel time zone setting so the schedule matches your expected local time.
