How to Add a Password to Your HumanitZ Server

Setting a join password on your HumanitZ server prevents unauthorized players from connecting. The password is stored in GameUserSettings.ini and can be changed at any time.

Set a server password

  1. Log in to the Game Control Panel and navigate to your server.
  2. Stop your server if it is running.
  3. Click the Configuration Files icon in the control panel, then open GameUserSettings.ini using either the Text Editor or the Config Editor.
  4. Locate the Password field and enter your desired password.

  5. Click Save.
  6. Restart your server for the change to take effect.

Troubleshooting

  • If the Password field is not visible in the Config Editor, switch to the Text Editor view and search for it manually.
  • Players will need to enter this password each time they join. If you want to remove the password, clear the field and save.
