How to Change the Name of Your HumanitZ Server

Your HumanitZ server's display name appears in the in-game server browser and helps players find your server. You can change it at any time by editing GameUserSettings.ini.

Change the server name

  1. Log in to the Game Control Panel and navigate to your server.
  2. Stop your server if it is running.
  3. Click the Configuration Files icon in the control panel, then open GameUserSettings.ini using either the Text Editor or the Config Editor.
  4. Locate the ServerName field and enter your desired server name.

  5. Click Save.
  6. Restart your server for the new name to appear in the server browser.

Troubleshooting

  • If the ServerName field is not visible in the Config Editor, switch to the Text Editor view and search for it manually.
  • After restarting, allow a few minutes for the updated name to propagate to the server browser.
