The manual way: self-hosting
Bohemia Interactive's Arma 3 dedicated server runs natively on Windows and Linux. It is CPU-bound, with AI as the heaviest load, so Bohemia recommends a 3.5 GHz quad-core, 4 GB of RAM (more for big mod sets and player counts), and an SSD. No GPU needed.
- Log in to SteamCMD with a Steam account. Anonymous login does not work for Steam App ID
233780, so use a spare account:steamcmd +login <username> +app_update 233780 validate +quit - Fetch your mods. The server has no Workshop client, so download mods with an account that owns Arma 3 (Steam App ID
107410) and copy each mod's.bikeyinto thekeysfolder. - Write
server.cfg. Sethostname,password,passwordAdmin,maxPlayers,verifySignatures, and your mission rotation inclass Missions. Bandwidth tuning lives inbasic.cfg. - Forward UDP
2302to2306for game, Steam query, and BattlEye traffic. - Launch and keep it running with
