Connect Empyrion Admin Helper to Your Server

Updated 10 June 2026 · By Host Havoc Technical Support Team

Empyrion Admin Helper (EAH) is a third-party utility that lets you manage your server remotely. This guide walks you through linking EAH Lite to your Host Havoc server so you can monitor and control it from your PC.

Before you start: Your server must be running and you will need your FTP credentials from the FTP Info section of your game control panel.

Download and install EAH

  1. Download EAH Lite from eah.empyrion-homeworld.net/download.
  2. Extract the ZIP to a folder on your PC.
  3. Launch EMPAdminHelper.exe.

Configure the initial connection

On first startup, EAH asks for connection details. Fill them in as follows:

  1. Where is this tool running? Select On my local PC while the Empyrion-server is running somewhere else.
  2. Server: Enter your server's IP address only. Do not include the port.
  3. Overwrite Telnet IP: Leave blank.
  4. FTP Port: Find this in the FTP Info section of your panel. It is the four-digit number after the colon in the FTP address. For example, in 192.168.0.1:8825, the port is 8825.
  5. FTP User: Enter your game panel username.
  6. FTP Directory: Enter your server's IP and game port, replacing the colon (:) with an underscore (_) and adding a leading slash. For example, 192.168.0.1:30000 becomes /192.168.0.1_30000.
  7. Click the FTP password icon, enter your game panel password, and click OK.
  8. Click Refresh from FTP. A pop-up should confirm "The FTP Download seems to be successful". If it does not, review the values above.
  9. Click OK to proceed.

Finish setup

  1. Click OK on the next screen after adjusting any settings you want.
  2. Restart EAH.
  3. After restarting, go to Functions > Config > Tool.
  4. Change the Dedicated.yaml filename field to dedicated_config.yaml.
  5. Check the Use Dedicated.cmd box and enter EmpyrionDedicated_NoGraphics.cmd in the field if it is not already there.
  6. Click OK.

EAH should now be connected. If it is not, click the power button icon on the main window to connect manually.

Troubleshooting

If the FTP refresh fails, double-check the FTP directory format: the value must start with / and use _ instead of :. You can also verify your credentials by connecting with a standard FTP client.
