How to Upload Save Data to Your Abiotic Factor Server

You can transfer a save from your local PC to your Abiotic Factor server using an FTP client. Stop the server before uploading any files to avoid data corruption.

To set up an FTP connection, see Connect with an FTP Client before following the steps below.

Upload your save data

  1. Stop your server in the Game Control Panel.
  2. Connect to your server via FTP.
  3. Navigate to the following directory on the server:
    .\AbioticFactor\Saved\SaveGames\Server\Worlds\
  4. Upload your world folder from your PC into the Worlds directory.
  5. The default world name is Cascade. If your uploaded folder has a different name, either rename the folder to Cascade or update the world name setting in the Command Line Manager to match.

  6. Start the server.

Troubleshooting

  • If the server starts but loads the wrong world, confirm the world name in the Command Line Manager matches the folder name you uploaded.
  • If files fail to upload, verify the server is fully stopped before retrying the transfer.
