How to Reinstall Your Abiotic Factor Server

Reinstalling your server resets it to the default state it was in when you first received it. All server files are deleted and a fresh copy of the game server files is downloaded and installed. Backups are not affected.

Before you start: Download any files you want to keep before proceeding. You can use Connect with an FTP Client to download your save data. This action cannot be undone.

Reinstall the server

  1. Log in to the Game Control Panel.
  2. Stop the server.
  3. Click the More button.

  4. Click Reinstall.

  5. Click the Reinstall button to confirm. Keep the Default values option selected unless you have a specific reason to change it.

The reinstall process will delete all server files, download a fresh copy, and set up a default configuration. This may take several minutes depending on the size of the game files. Wait for the process to complete before starting the server.

Troubleshooting

  • If the reinstall appears to stall, wait a few more minutes before refreshing the panel. Large game files take time to download.
  • If you need help after reinstalling, submit a support ticket and the Host Havoc team will assist you.
