How to Reinstall Your Game Server

Before you start: Reinstalling deletes all server files except backups and then downloads the default setup. This action cannot be undone. Back up any files you want to keep before proceeding.

If your server has corrupt files or persistent errors, a reinstall gives you a clean slate. For scheduled maintenance, consider setting up automatic restarts instead.

Reinstall your server

  1. Log into the Game Control Panel and navigate to your server.
  2. Stop your server.
  3. Click the ...More button to the right of the start, stop, and restart buttons.

  4. Click Reinstall.
  5. Click the Reinstall button to confirm. Leave the options set to Default values unless you have a specific reason to change them.

The reinstall process may take up to 20 minutes depending on the size of the game files. Do not start or restart the server while it is in progress.

Troubleshooting

If the reinstall does not complete or the server still shows errors after reinstalling, open a support ticket with the support team and include your server details.
