Updated June 10, 2026 · By Host Havoc Technical Support Team

Soulmask server settings can be changed in two ways: by editing the GameXishu.json configuration file through your game panel, or by adjusting coefficients live through the in-game GM panel. Use the file editor for precise control and the GM panel for quick in-session adjustments. You will need an admin password configured to use the GM panel method.

Method 1: Edit GameXishu.json in the game panel

  1. Log into your Game Control Panel.
  2. Stop your server if it is running.
  3. Click Configuration Files in the panel.
  4. Click Text Editor or Config Editor next to GameXishu.json.
  5. Locate the settings you want to change and modify them.
  6. Click Save when finished.
Soulmask GameXishu.json config file open in the panel text editor with settings ready to save
  7. Start your server.

Method 2: Adjust settings through the in-game GM panel

Before you start: You must have an admin password set. See Change Admin Password if you have not done this yet.

  1. Join your server.
  2. Press ~ to open the in-game console.
  3. Type gm key <YourAdminPassword> and press Enter.
  4. The GM panel opens. Click Open coefficient settings.
  5. Edit the server settings as needed.
  6. Press Escape to close the settings menu.
  7. Click Away from Admin to exit admin mode.

Troubleshooting

  • Settings not saving via GM panel: make sure you press Escape to close the menu before clicking Away from Admin.
  • GameXishu.json changes not taking effect: stop the server before editing the file and start it again after saving.
  • If you need to use admin commands while in the GM panel, press ~ again after the panel opens.
