Soulmask Server Hosting
Your own Soulmask dedicated server, PvE or PvP
Recruit tribesmen, unlock mask powers and grow your base on a world that stays online 24/7. Instant setup, DDoS protection, Steam Workshop mods and 24/7 expert support included.
The Soulmask server application uses a significant amount of memory. Many providers are resorting to using old/legacy hardware with large mounts of low-speed memory. While this reduces costs, it greatly reduces quality/performance. As always, we're committed to providing a premium, reliable experience and host these servers on our latest-gen equipment without cutting corners.

Soulmask is a survival crafting game from CampFire Studio. You wake bound to an ancient mask that grants distinct combat styles and lets you possess the people you recruit. Gather resources, build a base, and lead a growing band of tribespeople who farm, craft, and fight for you until your camp runs as an automated settlement. Explore two worlds, Cloud Mist Forest and the Shifting Sands DLC, alone or with friends in PvE or PvP. Soulmask left Early Access with its 1.0 release in April 2026.
Why run a dedicated Soulmask server
A dedicated server keeps your world, tribe, and base online 24/7, so friends can log in and progress without waiting for a host. You choose PvE or PvP rules, set a join password, and tune more than 200 gameplay settings for up to 70 players. The server process alone needs over 12 GB of RAM, which is why Host Havoc runs it on current-generation hardware with DDoS protection and 24/7 support.
How to Set Up a Soulmask Dedicated Server
With Host Havoc
The easy way: with Host Havoc
- Pick a plan and region. 20 to 50 slots, in the datacenter closest to your tribe.
- Deploy in minutes. Your server launches on the latest build, ready to join.
- Manage from the panel. Set the server name, password, and PvE or PvP mode. No launch parameters or
GameXishu.jsonediting.
Automated backups, DDoS protection, and 24/7 support are included.
Without Host Havoc
The manual way: self-hosting
CampFire Studio ships official dedicated server builds for Windows and Linux. The server is RAM-hungry: the process alone uses over 12 GB before anyone joins, so plan for 16 GB minimum (24 GB or more recommended), a fast quad-core CPU, and 30 GB of SSD space. No GPU needed.
- Download the server with SteamCMD using the anonymous login and Steam App ID
3017310(Windows) or3017300(Linux):steamcmd +login anonymous +app_update 3017310 validate +quit - Build your launch line. Start
WSServer-Win64-Shipping.exewith the mapLevel01_Mainand set-SteamServerName,-MaxPlayers(up to 70),-PSW,-adminpsw, and-pveor-pvp. - Edit
GameXishu.json. The server writes it toWS/Saved/GameplaySettingson first launch. Most keys use Chinese pinyin names. - Forward UDP
8777(game) and UDP27015(query). Keep the TCP18888admin console closed to the internet. - Keep it running as a service on Windows, or in screen/tmux on Linux, and shut it down from the console so the world saves.
After that it is on you: patching on every CampFire update, backing up the world, restarting after crashes, and absorbing DDoS yourself.
