Add Admins to Your Empyrion Server

Admin access on an Empyrion server is controlled by the adminconfig.yaml file. Adding a player's Steam64 ID to that file grants them admin privileges the next time they connect.

Steps

1. Log in to the control panel and navigate to your Empyrion hosting service.
2. Open the Configuration Files menu.
3. Open adminconfig.yaml in the text editor.
4. You will see two default ID listings. Remove or replace them as needed.
5. Enter the player's Steam64 ID in the Id field. You can look up Steam64 IDs at steamid.io.
6. Save the file and restart the server.
7. Log in to the server, press the ~ key, and type help to confirm admin commands are available.

Before you start: Each Steam64 ID must appear only once in the file. Duplicate entries or formatting errors can prevent the server from starting. See server not starting if you run into startup issues after editing this file.

Notes

• There must be a single entry per Steam64 ID. The example format in the file must be followed exactly.
• Do not add duplicate lines for the same player.
