How to Set Up Your SLG Account and Enable Online Mode in Eco

Since Eco Update 11, players and server operators are required to register an SLG (Strange Loop Games) account linked to a Steam account that owns Eco. Without this, your server cannot run in Online Mode.

Once your SLG account is set up, you can configure your server settings and connect via FTP to manage your files.

Create your SLG account

  1. Navigate to https://play.eco/login.
  2. Click Login with Steam.
  3. Log in with the Steam account that owns Eco.
  4. Complete the SLG account registration form.

Configure your server to use your SLG account

  1. Log in to the Game Control Panel and navigate to your server.
  2. Click the Command Line Manager icon.
  3. Click the Default command line to edit it.
  4. Enter your SLG account username and password in the appropriate fields.
  5. Save the changes.
  6. Restart the server.

Troubleshooting

  • Login page not loading: Make sure you are using the Steam account that owns Eco. Free weekend or family-shared copies may not qualify for account registration.
  • Server still shows offline after restart: Confirm your SLG credentials are saved correctly in the Command Line Manager and that the server has fully restarted.
