How to Set Up Automatic Restarts for Your Eco Server

Scheduling automatic restarts keeps your Eco server healthy and prevents performance degradation over time. The Host Havoc Game Control Panel's Scheduled Tasks feature lets you set restarts on a daily schedule or at repeating intervals.

Before you start: Make sure you have your preferred restart time in mind. If you need to match your local time zone, check the time zone guide before proceeding.

Create a scheduled restart task

  1. Log in to the Game Control Panel and navigate to your server.
  2. Click the Scheduled Tasks icon on the left-hand side.
  3. Click New at the top of the section and choose Scheduled Start/Stop/Restart, then click New directly below that section.
  4. Give the task a descriptive name so you can identify it later, and check the Enabled box.
  5. For the type, select Daily if you want the restart to occur at the same time each day.
  6. Set the start date and time. This is the time the task will run every day.
  7. Click Save.

Set a repeating interval

If you want the server to restart multiple times per day (for example, every 6 hours), enable the Repeat Task option and configure the interval. With a 6-hour repeat and a midnight start time, the server will restart at 00:00, 06:00, 12:00, and 18:00.

Additional options such as action type and waiting until the server is empty are available under Advanced Options.

Troubleshooting

  • Task not running at expected time: Confirm the start time matches your local time zone. The panel uses its own time zone by default.
  • Task is not enabled: Return to Scheduled Tasks and verify the Enabled checkbox is checked for the task.
