How to Change Your Enshrouded Server Name

Your Enshrouded server name is what players see in the in-game server browser. You can change it at any time by editing enshrouded_server.json in the Game Panel.

Change the server name

  1. Log in to the Game Control Panel and navigate to your Enshrouded server.
  2. Stop your server if it is running.
  3. Click Configuration Files in the panel.
  4. Open enshrouded_server.json using either the Text Editor or the Config Editor.
  5. Locate the name field and enter your desired server name.

  6. Save the file.
  7. Start your server.

The new name will appear in the server browser once the server is back online.

Troubleshooting

If the name does not update in the server list, confirm the file was saved and the server was fully restarted. It may also take a minute or two for the server browser to reflect the change.
