How to Add Yourself as an Admin on Your Wreckfest Server

Adding yourself as an admin on your Wreckfest server requires editing the server_config.cfg file to include your Steam64 ID. Once set, you can use all admin commands in-game.

Before you start: You need your Steam64 ID. Visit https://steamid.io/ and enter your Steam profile URL or username to find it.

Add your Steam64 ID to the config

  1. Log into the Game Control Panel and navigate to your server.
  2. Stop your server.
  3. Open the Configuration Files section and click on server_config.cfg.
  4. Locate the admin_steam_ids line and add your Steam64 ID after the equals sign.
  5. Click Save and Exit.
  6. Start your server.

Troubleshooting

Admin commands are not working in-game. Confirm the Steam64 ID in server_config.cfg matches the account you are logged into on Steam. The value must be a 17-digit Steam64 ID, not a SteamID3 or vanity URL.
