How to Reinstall Your StarRupture Server

Reinstalling your StarRupture server wipes all current server files (except backups) and redownloads a clean default setup. This is useful when the server is corrupted, fails to start, or you want a completely fresh configuration.

Before you start: Reinstalling deletes all server files except backups. If you have custom configuration files you want to keep, download them first using FTP.

Reinstall your server

  1. Log in to the Game Control Panel and navigate to your server.
  2. Stop your server using the Stop button.
  3. Click the [...More] button to the right of the start/stop/restart buttons.

  4. Click Reinstall.
  5. Click the Reinstall button to confirm. It is recommended to leave the settings on Default values.

The reinstall process may take up to 20 minutes depending on the size of the game files. Do not restart or stop the process while it is running.

After reinstalling

Once complete, start your server and verify it is running correctly. You will need to create a new session as previous session data is removed during reinstall. Restore any configuration files you backed up via FTP.
