How to Reinstall Your Space Engineers Server

Reinstalling your Space Engineers server wipes all files (except backups) and downloads a fresh copy of the default server. This is useful if your installation has become corrupted or you want to start fresh.

If you want to preserve your world first, see Restore Backup or download your save folder via FTP before proceeding.

Warning: Reinstalling deletes all server files except backups. This action cannot be undone.

Steps

  1. Log in to the Game Control Panel and navigate to your Space Engineers server.
  2. Stop your server.
  3. Click the ...More button to the right of the Start/Stop/Restart buttons.

  4. Click Reinstall.
  5. Click the Reinstall confirmation button. It is recommended to leave the Default values option selected.

The reinstall process may take up to 20 minutes depending on the size of the game files.
