How to Set Up Automatic Restarts for Your SCUM Server

Updated June 10, 2026 · By Host Havoc Technical Support Team

Scheduling automatic restarts keeps your SCUM server fresh and helps prevent memory or performance issues over time. You can configure a daily restart or set a repeating task that triggers every few hours.

Once your server is running reliably, see how to connect to your SCUM server to share connection details with your players.

Set up a scheduled restart

  1. Log in to the Game Control Panel and navigate to your SCUM server.
  2. Click the Scheduled Tasks icon on the left side.
  3. Click New at the top of the section and choose Scheduled Start/Stop/Restart, then click New in that subsection.
  4. Give the task a descriptive name so you can identify it easily, and check the Enabled box.
  5. For the frequency, choose Daily to restart at the same time each day.
  6. Set the start date and time. This is the time the restart will run every day. To align it with your local time zone, refer to your game panel time zone settings.
  7. Click Save.

Set a repeating restart (every N hours)

If you want the server to restart multiple times per day (for example, every 6 hours), use the Repeat Task option in the Advanced Options section:

  1. Follow steps 1-6 above to create a scheduled task.
  2. Expand the Advanced Options section.
  3. Check Repeat Task and set the interval (for example, every 6 hours in a 24-hour period).

  4. Click Save.

Before you start: Make sure your server is already running before creating a scheduled task. Scheduled restarts only apply if the server is online at the scheduled time.
