How to Set Your Owner ID on a RuneScape: Dragonwilds Server
A valid owner ID is required before your RuneScape: Dragonwilds server will allow you to connect as the owner. This guide walks you through locating your Player ID in-game and pasting it into the server config.
Before you start: Stop your server in the Game Control Panel before editing config files.
Edit the config file
- Log in to your Game Control Panel and navigate to your server.
- Stop your server if it is running.
- Click Configuration Files in the left-hand panel.
- Open
DedicatedServer.iniin either the Text Editor or Config Editor. - Locate the
OwnerIDline. Leave this tab open while you retrieve your ID in the next section.
Find your Player ID in-game
- Launch RuneScape: Dragonwilds and reach the main menu.
- Click Settings in the main menu.
- In the Settings screen, look at the bottom-left corner for My Player ID.
- Click the copy icon next to your Player ID.
Save the config
- Return to your server config tab and paste your Player ID into the
OwnerIDfield. - Save the file.
- Start your server.
Your account is now the designated owner of the server. If you need to transfer ownership later, repeat these steps with a different Player ID.
Troubleshooting
- Settings screen does not show My Player ID: Make sure your game client is up to date.
- Changes not applied after restart: Confirm you saved the config file before starting the server, and that no other config file is overriding the value.
