How to Change Your Project Zomboid Server Admin Password

If you forget your admin password or want to replace the default one, you can reset it at any time from your game control panel. After updating the password, use the new credentials when logging in as admin or when players need to join your server.

Change the admin password

  1. Log in to your server's game control panel.
  2. On the left-hand side, find the Change Admin Password button, shown with a lock icon.
  3. Click the button. You will see a prompt showing the current password and a field for a new password.
  4. Enter your new password and click Run.
  5. Wait for the script to finish. Your server is now ready with the updated password.
