How to Reinstall Your Palworld Server

Reinstalling resets your server back to its default state, as if freshly provisioned. Use this to fix a broken installation or start fresh.

Before you start: All server files will be deleted except backups. Download any files you want to keep before proceeding. To restore character data afterward, see restore character saves.

Steps

  1. Log in to the Game Control Panel and navigate to your Palworld server.
  2. Stop your server.
  3. Click the More button.

  4. Click Reinstall.

  5. Click the Reinstall confirmation button. Keep the Default values option selected unless you have a specific reason to change it.

The panel will delete all server files, download a fresh copy of the game server files, and set up a default configuration. This may take several minutes depending on the size of the game files.

Once complete, your server will be ready to start with a clean install.

Troubleshooting

  • Reinstall taking too long: Large game files can take 10 or more minutes. Wait until the game panel shows the process is complete before starting the server.
  • Need help: If the reinstall fails or the server does not start after reinstalling, submit a support ticket and the team will assist you.
