How to Create and Restore Backups

Published June 9, 2026 · By Host Havoc Technical Support Team

Multicraft lets you create manual backups of your Minecraft server, restore from any saved backup, and schedule automatic backups to run on a regular interval. There is a limit of 3 backups per server; when a new backup is created and the limit is reached, the oldest backup is deleted.

Before you start: Consider downloading a copy of your world as an additional off-panel backup before making major changes.

Create a backup

  1. Log into the Minecraft panel.
  2. Open your server's control panel.
  3. Click Files on the left side.
  4. Click Backup.
  5. Click Start to create a backup.

Restore a backup

  1. Log into the Minecraft panel.
  2. Open your server's control panel.
  3. Stop your server.
  4. Click Files on the left side.
  5. Click Backup.
  6. Click Restore on the left side.

Schedule automatic backups

You can create a scheduled task to run a backup automatically at a set time every day.

  1. Open your server's control panel.
  2. Click Advanced on the left side.
  3. Click Scheduled Tasks.
  4. Click New Task.
  5. Fill in the task settings:
    • Name: enter a descriptive name (for example, Daily Backup).
    • Status: set to Scheduled.
    • Time: set the time for the first backup to run.
    • Interval: check the Interval checkbox, then set it to 1 and Days.
    • Command: set to Create Backup.
    • Arguments: leave blank.
    • Run for: set to Server.
    • Condition: set to None.
  6. Click Create.

The task runs once per day at the time you set. Backups older than the 3-backup limit are automatically deleted as new ones are created.
