How to Create and Restore Backups
Multicraft lets you create manual backups of your Minecraft server, restore from any saved backup, and schedule automatic backups to run on a regular interval. There is a limit of 3 backups per server; when a new backup is created and the limit is reached, the oldest backup is deleted.
Before you start: Consider downloading a copy of your world as an additional off-panel backup before making major changes.
Create a backup
- Log into the Minecraft panel.
- Open your server's control panel.
- Click Files on the left side.
- Click Backup.
- Click Start to create a backup.
Restore a backup
- Log into the Minecraft panel.
- Open your server's control panel.
- Stop your server.
- Click Files on the left side.
- Click Backup.
- Click Restore on the left side.
- Find the backup you want to restore and click the Restore button on its right side.
Schedule automatic backups
You can create a scheduled task to run a backup automatically at a set time every day.
- Open your server's control panel.
- Click Advanced on the left side.
- Click Scheduled Tasks.
- Click New Task.
- Fill in the task settings:
- Name: enter a descriptive name (for example,
Daily Backup). - Status: set to Scheduled.
- Time: set the time for the first backup to run.
- Interval: check the Interval checkbox, then set it to
1andDays. - Command: set to Create Backup.
- Arguments: leave blank.
- Run for: set to Server.
- Condition: set to None.
- Name: enter a descriptive name (for example,
- Click Create.
The task runs once per day at the time you set. Backups older than the 3-backup limit are automatically deleted as new ones are created.
