How to Set Your Abiotic Factor Server Name and Password

You can set your server name and an optional join password through the Command Line Manager in the Host Havoc Game Control Panel. Both settings are configured in the same flow, so you only need to stop the server once.

Set server name and password

  1. Log in to the Game Control Panel.
  2. Navigate to your server.
  3. Stop the server.
  4. Click Command Line Manager.
  5. Click Select on one of the predefined command lines. Choose the one that includes a password field if you want a password-protected server, or the one without if you want an open server.
  6. Edit the Server Name field and, if applicable, the Password field.
  7. Click Save.
  8. Start your server.

Troubleshooting

  • If the new name does not appear in the server browser, allow a minute for the server to finish starting, then refresh.
  • If you set a password and players cannot connect, confirm the password contains no special characters that may be misread by the command line.
