How to Create and Restore Backups on Your HumanitZ Server

Host Havoc automatically creates a backup of your HumanitZ server every night at 2:45 AM. Backups typically contain save data and settings files. You can also create manual backups and restore any saved backup at any time.

Create a backup

  1. Log in to the Game Control Panel and navigate to your server.
  2. Click the Create Backup icon in your server's control panel.

The backup is saved to the Backups folder on the server.

Restore a backup

  1. Log in to the Game Control Panel and navigate to your server.
  2. Stop your server.
  3. Click the Restore Backup icon in your server's control panel.
  4. Select a backup from the dropdown list.
  5. Click Run.

Note: You cannot upload files directly to the Backups folder.

Download a backup

You can download backup .zip files from the Backups folder using the File Manager or an FTP client.

Restore a downloaded backup zip

  1. Use FTP to upload the backup .zip to the root directory of your server.
  2. Open the File Manager in the control panel.
  3. Right-click the backup .zip file and click Extract.

Extracting may take a few minutes depending on the size of the backup.
