How to Switch Your Server to a Different Game

You can switch an existing server to a different game through the billing area. This is different from resizing your current plan; for slot or RAM changes see Upgrade or Downgrade Your Service.

Steps

  1. Log in to your billing area.
  2. Click the Services icon.
  3. Select the service you want to switch.
  4. Click the Upgrade/Downgrade option.
  5. Click Choose Product on the game you want to switch to.
  6. Click Continue to confirm.

Note: Switching places you on the base package for the new game. If you need more slots or RAM, upgrade the service after switching.

Pricing at switch time

  • If the new game costs more, you pay the price difference for the remaining time in your billing period.
  • If the new game costs less, you receive account credit based on the price difference and the remaining time.

Troubleshooting

If the server does not start after switching, go to the game panel, click the ...more section, and run the Reinstall script. This resolves most start errors that occur after a game switch.
