How to Set a Password on Your Vein Server

Setting a password on your Vein server restricts access to only players who know the password, keeping your sessions private. You can configure this through the Game.ini file in the game panel.

If you have not already done so, consider adding yourself as an admin so you can manage your server in-game.

Set a server password

  1. Log in to your Game Control Panel.
  2. Stop your server if it is running.
  3. Click Configuration Files.
  4. Find Game.ini and click Text Editor or Config Editor to the right.
  5. Locate the Password field and enter your desired password.

  6. Click Save and Exit.
  7. Restart your server.

Players will now be prompted to enter the password when joining your server.
