How to Edit Your Vein Server Settings

You can change your Vein server settings in two ways: through the in-game admin menu or by editing the Engine.ini file directly in the game panel. Both methods write to the same configuration file on your server.

Before using the in-game method, make sure you have added yourself as an admin.

Method 1: In-game admin menu

  1. Log in to your Vein server.
  2. Press the backslash key (\) to open the in-game admin menu.
  3. Click on the Config section.
  4. Adjust any settings you want to change.

Changes made here are automatically saved to Engine.ini on your server.

Method 2: Game panel

  1. Log in to your Game Control Panel.
  2. Click Configuration Files.
  3. Find Engine.ini and click Text Editor to the right.
  4. Locate or add the [ConsoleVariables] section.
  5. Add or update the settings you want.
  6. Click Save and Exit.
