How to Change Your The Front Server Name and Password

Your The Front server name and password are both controlled by the ServerConfig_.ini file, accessible through the Configuration Files editor in the Game Control Panel.

Change the server name or password

  1. Log into the Game Control Panel and navigate to your server.
  2. Click the Stop button and wait for the server to stop.
  3. Click the Configuration Files icon.
  4. Open ServerConfig_.ini using the Config Editor.
  5. Edit the Server Name field and/or the Server Password field.
  6. Click Save.
  7. Restart your server for the changes to take effect.

Before you start: Stop your server before editing configuration files to avoid overwriting changes on shutdown.

Troubleshooting

If your new name does not appear in the server browser after restarting, allow a few minutes for the listing to refresh. If you set a password, players will be prompted to enter it when joining.
