How to Set Up Automatic Restarts on Your Space Engineers Server

Automatic restarts keep your Space Engineers server healthy by periodically clearing memory and applying any pending updates. This guide shows you how to configure them using Scheduled Tasks.

For time zone guidance referenced in step 6, see the time zone article linked from the control panel. See also Reinstall Server if you need to do a full reset.

Steps

  1. Log in to the Game Control Panel and navigate to your server.
  2. Click the Scheduled Tasks icon on the left-hand side.
  3. Click New at the top of the section and choose Scheduled Start/Stop/Restart, then click New directly below that section.
  4. Give the task a name so you can identify it easily, and check the Enabled box.
  5. For the type, choose Daily to restart at the same time every day.
  6. Set the start date and time. The time is applied based on the panel time zone.
  7. In the Advanced Options section you can set additional options such as the action type and waiting until the server is empty before restarting.
  8. Click Save.

Tip: To restart every 6 hours in a 24-hour period, check the Repeat Task option and set the interval to 6 hours as shown in the example above.
