How to Change the Starting World on Your Space Engineers Server
The Starting Path setting determines which world your Space Engineers server loads when generating a new save. This guide shows you how to change it.
Note that crossplay compatibility varies by world. See Enable Crossplay if you need Xbox and PC players on the same server.
Steps
- Log in to the Game Control Panel and navigate to your Space Engineers server.
- Click on Configuration Files and open
SpaceEngineers-Dedicated.cfgin the Configuration Editor. - Find the Starting Path setting, located just below the === Game Settings === line.
- Change the value to your preferred world from the list below.
- Click Save & Exit and restart your server.
Note: The Starting Path only takes effect when generating a new save. Changing it will not alter an existing world already loaded on your server. The full list of available worlds can also be found in the
\Content\CustomWorlds\directory on your server.
