How to Set Up Automatic Restarts on Your DayZ Server
Scheduled restarts keep your DayZ server stable, apply updates, and refresh the loot economy on a regular basis. You can set them up using the Scheduled Tasks feature in the Game Control Panel.
See the reinstall server guide if you need to do a full reset rather than a routine restart.
Steps
Step 1: Log into the Game Control Panel and navigate to your DayZ service.
Step 2: Click the Scheduled Tasks icon on the left side of the panel.
Step 3: Click New at the top, choose Scheduled Start/Stop/Restart, then click New below that section.
Step 4: Give the task a descriptive name and make sure the Enabled checkbox is checked.
Step 5: For Type, choose Daily to restart at the same time every day.
Step 6: Set the start date and time. This will be the time the restart occurs each day.
Note: The time is based on the panel's time zone. If the restart is not occurring when expected, check the panel time zone article for your account.
Step 7: Click Save.
Repeating restarts (every N hours)
To restart every 6 hours within a 24-hour period, enable the Repeat Task option and set the interval to 6 hours. The task will fire at the start time and then repeat at the configured interval.
Additional options such as waiting until the server is empty before restarting are available under Advanced Options.
