How to Join Your DayZ Server

Your DayZ server's IP and port are available in the Game Control Panel. Once the server is running you can connect using any of the methods below.

For a smooth first experience, make sure you have already added yourself as admin so you can manage the server once you are inside.

Method 1: In-game server browser

Step 1: Launch DayZ and select Find Server from the main menu.

Step 2: Click the Community tab.

Step 3: In the search box, type your server name or paste your server IP address.

Step 4: Select your server from the list and click Connect.

Method 2: Direct connect (Steam server browser)

Step 1: In Steam, open View > Game Servers (or press the Servers button in the Steam interface).

Step 2: Click Add a Server and enter your server's IP and game port (found in the control panel).

Step 3: Click Find Games at this Address, then Connect.

Method 3: DZSA Launcher

If your server has the DZSA Launcher installed, players can also connect through the DZSA Launcher server browser, which handles mod downloads automatically.

Note: If your server is password-protected, players will be prompted to enter the password after selecting the server. See Add a server password if you want to restrict access.
