How to Change Your Conan Exiles Server Name and Password

Your server name appears in the Conan Exiles server browser and Steam Favorites list. You can also set or remove a password to control who can join. Both settings live in the Engine.ini file.

Steps

  1. Log into the Game Control Panel and navigate to your server.
  2. Stop the server.
  3. Click Configuration Files and open the Config Editor for Engine.ini.
  4. Find the Server Name field and enter your desired name.
  5. Find the Server Password field. Enter a password to restrict access, or leave it blank for a public server.
  6. Click Save.
  7. Start the server.

Notes

  • The server name appears in-browser within a minute or two of starting.
  • If you remove a password, make sure the field is fully empty rather than containing a space.
  • Changing the name does not affect saved world data.
