How to Connect to Your American Truck Simulator Server via FTP

Published 9 June 2026 · By Host Havoc Technical Support Team

FTP lets you transfer files directly between your computer and your server. This guide uses FileZilla, a free FTP client, to connect to your American Truck Simulator server.

This process also applies to Euro Truck Simulator 2 servers.

Install FileZilla

Download FileZilla from filezilla-project.org and install it on your computer.

Connect to your server

  1. Log in to the Game Control Panel and navigate to your server.
  2. Find the FTP Info section near the middle of the page. Copy the FTP IP and port (it will look similar to 167.114.172.201:8821) and paste it into the Host field in FileZilla.
FTP IP and port entered in the FileZilla Host field
  3. Enter your Game Control Panel username and password into the Username and Password fields in FileZilla.
FileZilla Quickconnect bar with username and password fields filled in
  4. The port will adjust automatically if you copied the full host:port value from the panel.
  5. Click Quickconnect to connect.

Note: If the panel shows SFTP Info instead of FTP Info, add sftp:// in front of the IP address, for example: sftp://167.114.172.201:8821.
