How to Install Darkness Falls on Your 7 Days to Die Server

Darkness Falls is a large overhaul mod that changes nearly every aspect of 7 Days to Die. Your server needs EAC disabled for it to work, and you must also disable EAC on your local game client.

Before you start: Stop your server before installing the mod.

Steps to Install Darkness Falls

  1. Log in to your Game Control Panel.
  2. Stop your server if it is running.
  3. Click Non-Workshop Mods in the panel, locate Darkness Falls in the list, and click Install. Wait for the installation to finish.
  4. Click Configuration Files, then open serverconfiga21.xml using the Text Editor or Config Editor.
  5. Locate the EAC setting and set it to disabled.
  6. Save the file.
  7. Start the server.

Note: You must also disable EAC in your local 7 Days to Die game client. The mod will not work if EAC is enabled on either side. See How to Disable Easy Anti-Cheat on Your 7 Days to Die Server for details.

To use a world designed specifically for Darkness Falls, change the Game World setting in serverconfiga21.xml to one of the following values:
