How to Create and Restore Backups on Your Windrose Server

The game panel automatically creates a backup of your Windrose server every night at 2:45 AM. Backups typically contain save data and settings files. You can also create manual backups at any time and restore them when needed.

Create a backup

  1. Log in to the Game Control Panel and navigate to your server.
  2. Click the Create Backup icon in your server's control panel.

Restore a backup

  1. Log in to the Game Control Panel and navigate to your server.
  2. Stop your server.
  3. Click the Restore Backup icon in your server's control panel.
  4. Select the backup you want to restore from the dropdown list.
  5. Click Run.

Backups are stored in the Backups folder on the server. You can download backup .zip files using the File Manager or an FTP client.

Note: You cannot upload files directly to the Backups folder.

Restore a downloaded backup archive

If you previously downloaded a backup .zip and want to restore it manually:

  1. Use an FTP client to upload the .zip file to the main root directory of your server.
  2. Open the File Manager in the control panel.
  3. Right-click the file and click Extract. This may take a few minutes depending on the archive size.
