How to Reinstall Your V Rising Server

Reinstalling resets your V Rising server to a clean default state by deleting all server files (except backups) and redownloading them from scratch. Use this to resolve corrupted files or a broken installation.

Before you start: Reinstalling deletes all server files except backups. If you have saves or config files you want to keep, download them via FTP before proceeding.

Reinstall the server

  1. Log into the Game Control Panel and navigate to your server.
  2. Stop the server.
  3. Click the ...More button to the right of the start, stop, and restart buttons.

  4. Click Reinstall.
  5. Click the Reinstall confirmation button. Leave the option set to Default values.

The reinstall process downloads fresh server files and may take up to 20 minutes depending on the size of the game files.

Troubleshooting

Reinstall taking longer than expected - V Rising server files are large. Wait the full 20 minutes before concluding there is an issue. Do not stop or restart the server while the reinstall is running.

Server still broken after reinstall - If the issue persists after a clean reinstall, contact Host Havoc support with a description of the problem and any console error output.
