How to Reinstall Your Satisfactory Server

Reinstalling your server deletes all server files except backups, then re-downloads the default installation. Use this if your server is corrupted or otherwise unrecoverable.

Before you start: Reinstalling will delete all server files except backups. Make sure you have backed up any saves or configuration files you want to keep before proceeding.

  1. Log in to the Game Control Panel and navigate to your server.
  2. Stop your server.
  3. Click the ...More button to the right of the start, stop, and restart buttons.

  4. Click Reinstall.
  5. Click the Reinstall button to confirm. It is recommended to leave the Default values option selected.

The reinstall process may take up to 20 minutes depending on the size of the game files. Once complete, you will need to set up your server again from the beginning.

Troubleshooting

Reinstall takes longer than 20 minutes: This can occur during periods of high server load. Wait an additional 10 minutes before contacting support. If the server fails to start after reinstalling, try stopping and starting it once from the control panel.
