How to Install Mods on Your Satisfactory Server

You can install mods on your Satisfactory server remotely using Satisfactory Mod Manager (SMM) via SFTP. Stop your server before installing mods.

Install mods using Satisfactory Mod Manager

  1. Download Satisfactory Mod Manager from ficsit.app.
  2. Open the app and navigate to Manage Servers in the left panel.

  3. Enter your server's SFTP credentials. You can find these in the Game Control Panel under FTP Info or SFTP Info. See how to connect via FTP for details on locating these credentials. You do not need to download a separate FTP program for this step.

  4. In the protocol dropdown, select SFTP.

    Note: If you do not have SFTP information in your game panel, submit a support ticket.

  5. Once you have entered the correct credentials, select your server file path and click Add.

    Note: If the Add button does not become active, submit a support ticket.

  6. You can now install mods onto your server remotely from the mod manager.

Verify mods are installed

After installing, go to File Manager in your game panel and navigate to /FactoryGame/Mods to confirm the mod files are present.

Important notes

  • Only install mods that are compatible with dedicated servers. Not all mods support server-side installation.
  • Some mods may take a few minutes to install on the server.
  • To verify a mod is dedicated server compatible, check the ficsit.app dedicated server documentation under the Installing Mods section.
