How to Reinstall Your Icarus Server

Reinstalling your Icarus server resets it to the state it was in when you first received it. All server files are deleted (except backups) and a fresh copy of the game server files is downloaded and installed.

Before you start: All server files will be deleted during a reinstall. Use the FTP client to download any files you want to keep before proceeding.

Steps

  1. Log in to the Game Control Panel.
  2. Stop your server.
  3. Click the More button.

  4. Click Reinstall.

  5. Click the Reinstall confirmation button. It is recommended to keep the Default Values option selected.

The reinstall process deletes all files in your server directory, downloads a fresh copy of the game server files, and sets up a default configuration. This may take several minutes depending on the size of the game files.

Once complete, start your server as normal.

Troubleshooting

If the reinstall does not resolve your issue, or if you want to recover a previous state rather than start fresh, use the restore backup option instead. If you need further assistance, submit a support ticket and the Host Havoc support team will help.
