How to Change the Game Mode and Starting Map on Your CS2 Server

The Host Havoc game panel includes pre-configured command lines for each CS2 game mode. Switching modes and changing the starting map takes only a few clicks.

You can also load custom Steam Workshop maps alongside a game mode. See loading Workshop maps for those steps.

Steps

  1. Log in to the Game Control Panel and navigate to your server.
  2. Stop your server.
  3. Click the Command Line Manager icon.
  4. Click the Select button on the command line for the game mode you want to run.
  5. Click the Map dropdown and select the map you want the server to start on.
  6. Click Apply.

Start your server. It will launch in the selected game mode on the chosen map.
