How to Install Mods on Your Conan Exiles Server

All Conan Exiles servers hosted by Host Havoc support Steam Workshop mods. Keep in mind that mods are third-party content -- Host Havoc cannot guarantee their functionality or be held responsible for issues such as crashes or data loss. Back up your server data before installing new mods.

After installing mods, you may also want to set the mod load order to control which mod takes priority.

Before you start: Back up your save data before installing mods. See rollback and backups to create a restore point.

Steps

  1. Log into the Game Control Panel and navigate to your server.
  2. Stop the server.
  3. Click the Steam Workshop icon in the game panel.

  4. Browse or search for the mods you want to install and click Install for each one.

    Tip: To install a full Steam Workshop collection, check the Collections checkbox at the top of the Steam Workshop section and enter the collection ID.

  5. Once all mods are installed, start the server.

Notes

  • Mods are loaded in the order listed in modlist.txt. See Reorder Mods to adjust load order.
  • All players connecting to the server need to have the same mods installed on their local game client.
  • If a mod causes your server to crash or fail to start, remove it and check the mod page for known issues.
