How to Edit Settings on Your Abiotic Factor Server

You can change your Abiotic Factor server settings by editing ServerSettings.ini through the Configuration Files section of the Game Control Panel. Stop the server before saving any changes.

For changes to the server name or password specifically, see Configure Server Name and Password.

Edit ServerSettings.ini

  1. Log in to the Game Control Panel.
  2. Navigate to your server.
  3. Stop the server.
  4. Click Configuration Files.
  5. Find ServerSettings.ini in the list and click Config Editor.
  6. Edit the settings as needed.
  7. Click Save.
  8. Start the server.

Troubleshooting

  • If your changes do not take effect, confirm the server was fully stopped before you saved the file.
  • If the server fails to start after an edit, use the Configuration Files editor to revert the changed values to their defaults.
