How to Reinstall Your Windrose Server

Reinstalling your Windrose server deletes all current server files and downloads a fresh copy, returning the server to the state it was in when you first purchased it. Use this option when the server is in an unrecoverable state or you want a completely clean start.

Before you start: All server files will be deleted except backups. Create a backup or download any files you want to keep via FTP before proceeding.

Reinstall your server

  1. Log in to the Game Control Panel and navigate to your server.
  2. Stop your server.
  3. Click the More button.

  4. Click Reinstall.

  5. On the confirmation screen, click the Reinstall button. It is recommended to keep the Default values option selected.

The panel will delete all files in your server directory, download a new copy of the game server files, and apply a default configuration. This process may take several minutes depending on the size of the game files. Wait for it to complete before starting the server.

Troubleshooting

If the reinstall fails to complete or the server does not start afterward, submit a support ticket and the Host Havoc team will assist you.
