How to Upload Save Data to Your The Front Server

You can upload an existing save to your The Front server using the File Manager in the control panel or an FTP client. Host Havoc recommends using an FTP client for transferring files, as it is faster and more reliable for larger transfers.

Save data location

Save data is stored at the following path on your server:

./ProjectWar/Saved/GameStates/

Upload your local save files into this directory, overwriting any existing files when prompted.

Upload via File Manager or FTP

  1. Stop your server in the Game Control Panel.
  2. Connect to your server using the File Manager or your FTP client.
  3. Navigate to ./ProjectWar/Saved/GameStates/.
  4. Upload your save data files into this folder.
  5. Start your server once the upload is complete.

Troubleshooting

If the server does not load your save after starting, verify that the files are in the correct directory path and that the server was fully stopped before uploading. If you need to revert to an earlier state, see how to restore a backup.
