Install uMod/Oxide Plugins on Your Rust Server

Published 9 June 2026 · By Host Havoc Technical Support Team

Before installing plugins, make sure uMod/Oxide is already installed and that the server has been started at least once with it active. If you have not done this yet, follow Install uMod/Oxide first.

This is the fastest way to add community plugins without leaving the control panel.

  1. Log into the Game Control Panel.
  2. Click the Install uMod Plugins icon.
  3. Find the plugin you want and click Install beneath it.

Method 2: Manual upload

Use this method for plugins not listed in the installer.

  1. Log into the Game Control Panel.
  2. Open the File Manager and navigate to oxide/plugins/.

Before you start: If the oxide/plugins/ folder is missing, uninstall and reinstall uMod/Oxide via Non-Workshop Mods, then start the server once to generate it.

  3. Click Upload at the top of the file manager and select your .cs plugin file.
  4. Restart the server.

The plugin is now active.
