How to Set Up Automatic Restarts for Your Icarus Server

Updated 10 June 2026 · By Host Havoc Technical Support Team

Automatic restarts keep your Icarus server healthy by clearing memory and applying updates on a regular schedule. You can configure these using the Scheduled Tasks feature in the Game Control Panel.

Steps

  1. Log in to the Game Control Panel and navigate to your server.
  2. Click the Scheduled Tasks icon on the left-hand side.
  3. Click New at the top of the section and choose Scheduled Start/Stop/Restart, then click New directly below that section.
  4. Give the task a descriptive name and ensure the Enabled checkbox is checked.
  5. For the Type, choose Daily to restart at the same time each day.
  6. Set the Start Date and Time for the restart. This time repeats every day. To align it with your local time zone, refer to the time zone article in your control panel.
  7. Configure any additional options in the Advanced Options section, such as action type or waiting until the server is empty before restarting.
  8. Click Save.

Repeating Restarts (Every N Hours)

To restart every 6 hours throughout the day, enable the Repeat Task option and set the interval. For example, a start time of 00:00 with a 6-hour repeat creates restarts at 00:00, 06:00, 12:00, and 18:00.

Troubleshooting

If restarts are not occurring, confirm the task is Enabled and that the scheduled time has not already passed for the current day. Check that your server is running before the scheduled restart time, as some task types require the server to be online.
