How to Restore a Backup on Your Icarus Server

Host Havoc automatically creates backups of your Icarus server at regular intervals. If you need to roll back to a previous state, you can restore one of these backups from within the Game Control Panel.

Before you start: Restoring a backup replaces your current server data. Download any files you want to keep before proceeding.

Steps

  1. Log in to the Game Control Panel and view your server.
  2. Stop your server.
  3. Click the Restore Backup icon in your server's control panel.
  4. Select a backup from the dropdown menu.
  5. Click Run.

The server will restore the selected backup. Once complete, start your server normally.

Troubleshooting

If you do not see a backup in the dropdown, backups may not yet have been created for your service. Contact support if you believe a backup should be available. If you need a clean state rather than a restore, see reinstall server.
