How to Change Your Icarus Server Name

The server name players see when browsing dedicated servers is controlled by the Session Name field in ServerSettings.ini. You can update it at any time through the Config Editor.

Steps

  1. Log in to the Game Control Panel and view your server.
  2. Click Stop.
  3. Click the Configuration Files icon.
  4. Open ServerSettings.ini using the Config Editor.
  5. Edit the Session Name field to your desired server name.
  6. Click Save.
  7. Start your server. The new name will appear in the server list.

Troubleshooting

If the name does not update in the server browser, confirm the server has fully restarted. Some clients cache the server list; refresh the list or use Direct Connect to verify the name has changed.
