How to Reinstall Your Hytale Server

Reinstalling your Hytale server deletes all current server files and downloads a fresh default installation. Use this to recover from a broken configuration or to start fresh.

Before you start: All server files will be deleted except backups. Download any files you want to keep before proceeding.

  1. Log in to your Game Control Panel.
  2. Stop your server.
  3. Click the More button.

  4. Click Reinstall.

  5. Click the Reinstall button to confirm. Keep the Default values option selected unless you have a specific reason to change it.

The panel will delete all files, download a new copy of the game server files, and install a default configuration. This may take several minutes depending on the size of the game files. Wait for the process to complete before starting your server.

Once finished, you will have a clean Hytale server installation. You can then change your server name and password, add admins, or set up automatic restarts.
